Sony Fontopia Head Phones
I am starting this blog to let people know about Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones. I bought a pair a few months ago, and used them for working out and on my motorcycle. They have a great range of sound if you use the correct ear buds, and fit under my motorcycle helmet perfectly. The only issue that I, and many others, have encountered is the material that the wire is coated with deteriorates within a few weeks, leaving you with headphones you cannot use. I am an electrical engineer, and I have access to a lot of equipment that can fix this problem, however due to time constraints and a few failed methods, I gave up. I finally got the time to order the apple version of these headphones, and they were not what I expected, so I took one more stab at the Sony fontopia headphones and succeeded.
I now have a great set of headphones, with better wire sheathing for durability. If you have gotten to this website, then you have a similar issue and have a few choices at this point. A) you can try to fix them yourself, B) Throw them away and waste, C) Send them to me, and I can fix them for you, or D) send them to me, and I will pay you for them.
If any of this has been helpful, or you pick choices C or D, please feel free to contact me at wire.fix@hotmail.com.
Good Luck and God Bless
